Meet Sherita Qasim
Credentials and Education:
Sherita has received her bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science from Illinois State University. She is in her advanced internship for her Master of Social Work from Governor’s State University, with a tentative graduation date of May 2024.
Approach:
Sherita offers a safe space for her clients to reflect and discuss any concerns they are struggling with. Sherita uses a client-centered approach.
Target Population:
Sherita works with all ages from children through adult for individual therapy as well as families and couples.
Issues Addressed:
Stress, anxiety, trauma, and depression.
Types of Therapy Used:
Sherita uses several therapeutic interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
